Franciscan Health Hosts New Farmers Market In Beech Grove This Summer
BEECH GROVE, Indiana – A new farmers market in Beech Grove is set for this summer, hosted by the Community Health Improvement team at Franciscan Health.
The farmers market will take place on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Franciscan VNS Home Care offices, located at 1300 Albany Street in Beech Grove. The farmers market will run weekly from June 3 through September 30.
The farmers market offers an alternative to traditional grocery stores and provides nutritious options for locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables to the community on the south side of Indianapolis.
“We are excited to start this new farmers market for those looking for fresh produce and other locally sourced goods in the Beech Grove area,” said Stacey Fink, community health specialist at Franciscan Health. “The farmers market that Franciscan has hosted on the south side of Indianapolis for many years has always been very successful and we look to build off that with this new farmers market.”
The new farmers market will operate in addition to the long running farmers market that Franciscan hosts on Wednesdays across the street from the Franciscan Health Indianapolis hospital campus.
Vendors who sell locally grown and sourced fruits and vegetables, cheeses, meats, eggs, honey, bread, additional baked goods, arts and crafts, coffee, fresh flowers and soaps are all welcome to set up a booth at the new farmers market.
Those interested in becoming a vendor are asked to email: Stacey.Fink@FranciscanAlliance.org.
The farmers market is hosted by Franciscan Health in conjunction with the City of Beech Grove, Beech Grove Parks and Next Stop, Beech Grove.
