A note to our Foundation supporters

We are grateful for the support you have shown the Foundation over the years. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors throughout the South Suburbs, and we are truly thankful for your continued care and compassion.

The Franciscan Health Foundation has suspended fundraising efforts for our South Suburban Chicago programs following Prime Healthcare’s purchase of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields. The hospital and Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC are now part of Prime Healthcare’s award-winning national system.

“Prime Healthcare is uniquely positioned to carry on Franciscan Health Olympia Fields’ legacy of service to the poor and vulnerable,” Franciscan Health Olympia Fields Interim President and CEO Frank McHugh said. “… Prime Healthcare’s ability to strengthen hospitals while honoring values-based care gives us hope and confidence the South Suburbs will continue to have sustainable, quality healthcare access.”

The Foundation continues to thoughtfully steward existing donations to support our patients, coworkers and community through efforts such as food distribution events, access to medications and medical equipment, health screenings, educational opportunities and patient emergency assistance for those in need.
