Compassionate Companions Fund
Being hospitalized can be lonely and frightening. The Compassionate Companions program in South Suburban Chicago trains volunteers to spend time with patients who are alone and to relieve caregivers spending hours in the hospital room with a loved one. Your gift to this program underwrites the cost of training volunteers and provides items to comfort our patients.
H.O. “Buzz” Hickman for Cardiac Excellence
According to the Centers for Disease Control, one in five deaths in the U.S. is related to heart disease. And early detection is key to saving lives. That’s why the H.O. “Buzz” Hickman Fund for Cardiac Excellence seeks to bring innovative solutions and exceptional cardiac services accessible to rural areas, underserved communities and direct to employers.
Innovation Fund

Patient Assistance Fund

Palliative & Hospice Services
Help give terminally-ill patients dignity, peace and comfort in their final days. Your gift helps meet a growing need for high quality, end-of-life care. Franciscan Hospice affirms and celebrates life and regards dying as a natural process, recognizing every person has the right to die with dignity, peace and comfort.
Rehabilitation Therapy Services
This fund supports the purchase of patient care equipment/supplies, patient & staff education and training, resources to launch new program development or progress existing programs, and rehabilitation software/technology.
Spiritual Care
Spiritual care is at the core of our mission and values. Your gift supports training and professional development for Franciscan Health chaplains. This fund also helps our chaplains respond to patients who lack financial resources for necessities like clothing and transportation.
