OXFORD, Indiana – Franciscan Health’s Prenatal Assistance Program, part of the Franciscan Health Foundation, has teamed up with the Benton Community Food & Service Co-Op and the Benton Community Foundation to form the Benton County Diaper Pantry.

The diaper pantry will provide free baby diapers and adult incontinence diapers to those who are eligible.

“At Franciscan Health, we understand the critical need families face – one in two U.S. families with young children cannot afford enough diapers to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy,” said Tristan Kirby, director of the Franciscan Health Prenatal Assistance Program. “Through this partnership, our healthcare ministry can continue making a meaningful difference for families experiencing diaper insecurity. We are deeply grateful to the Benton Community Food & Service Co-Op for their leadership and collaboration, and to the Benton County Community Foundation for funding that will positively impact so many lives.”

Benton County families can receive a monthly supply of supplementary diapers from the diaper pantry by joining the Benton Community Food & Service Co-Op.

Families have to be a member of the Co-Op to be eligible. Membership forms are available at the Co-Op during hours of operation or at the Community Action Program office and online here. Learn about membership criteria online here.

Grant funding for the diaper pantry was received from the Benton Community Foundation’s women’s giving initiative “The Cookie Jar” to bring the diaper pantry to Benton County.

The Benton Community Food & Service Co-Op is located at 109 East Smith Street in Oxford.
