ABOUT ME
Alisha Kuckartz is a Purdue University graduate with a degree in Secondary English, Speech, and Spanish Education, as well as a master’s degree in Education Administration.
During her years at Purdue, she was a feature dancer with the American Music Revue Show Choir and proudly represented Purdue University as both the Girl in Black and Golden Girl with the All-American Marching Band.
A certified Life Coach and lifelong educator, Alisha currently teaches high school Spanish and Multilingual English. She also continues to share her passion for dance as the director of the Encore Pom Dance community program.
Alisha is married to Jacob Kuckartz, and together they have three children: Hannah and twins Austin and Molly. When she’s not teaching or dancing, you might find her planning her next trip to Disney! An avid Disney fan, Alisha has visited the Magic Kingdom more than 50 times.
I am dancing because… movement gives voice to a personal story that words cannot fully express. Through dance, I can share pieces of who I am while inviting others to explore their own emotions, memories, and sentiments through what they see and feel in my performance. Dance is a bridge built without words, connecting performer and audience through a shared human experience. When space, movement, and music fuse together, they can create an impactful experience that encourages, challenges, and inspires others. I dance because a meaningful performance does more than tell my story; it creates space for others to find their own.
Support My Stars & Steps Journey
This year, I’m honored to participate in Stars & Steps: Lafayette’s Dance Spectacular, a special event celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Franciscan Health while raising funds to improve the health and well-being of our community. The event honors the extraordinary legacy of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, whose vision, compassion, and commitment to serving others led to the founding of the ministry that became Franciscan Health 150 years ago. As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also investing in the future through Franciscan Health’s Community Health Improvement initiatives, which provide critical programs that support families, promote wellness, improve health access, and strengthen lives across Greater Lafayette and Western Indiana. Thank you for helping me celebrate this legacy of service while making a lasting impact in our community.
Every donation helps support Franciscan Health’s Community Health Improvement programs, including:
✅ Support for new mothers and babies
✅ Nutrition education and healthy food access
✅ Child safety initiatives and car seat programs
✅ CPR, AED, and emergency preparedness training
✅ Community wellness and prevention programs
These initiatives continue the mission of caring and service established by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration more than 150 years ago.
